"Music has been my one true support during all of the good and bad times I've lived through. It never judges me, it never questions me and it never shames me. I want to support everybody with music like that too."

Biography:Scarlett_Candela (formerly known as Kurenai_Akari) is a lyricist and Vocaloid producer from Southern California. Born in 1990, Scarlett_Candela has seen the music world change from the boy band boom of the late 90's, the hectic years of the 2000s with mainstream indie rock and nu-metal to the current day where shoegaze and post-punk music currently rule over her playlists. Having grown up with the heyday of MTV & analogue radio, Scarlett_Candela was raised around various genres of music, but not limited to rap/hip-hop, rock, oldies & pop, all influences from her oldest brother, youngest sister & grandmother.Having been inspired by songwriters such as Max Martin & Yoshiki Hayashi of X Japan, as well as the tragedy of losing her Mother in the years of early 2010, Scarlett_Candela began writing lyrics earnestly years later in April of 2016, trying her hand at doujin lyrics for a lyrical cover of the song "Ni Soku Ho Kou" (also known as "Two Breaths Walking") by Vocaloid producer DECO*27. Mild success would come a year later as Scarlett_Candela, then known under the pen name of Kurenai_Akari, would have her lyrics be put to music for the first time for the Hiyama Kiyoteru album "SENSEITIONAL" as "City of Angels" would be the opening track for the compilation album. Other minor success stories include "Hikikomori: The Path to Recovery" for the Hiyama Kiyoteru compilation "KiyoteruQuest" with a first time collaboration from friend & music producer King Oseaun, as well as her first overseas collaboration with Japanese Vocaloid producer Kuutamo for the song "The borderline in my mind", an ode to Scarlett_Candela's struggles with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder & Borderline personality disorder. With an eclectic taste in music along with a down-to-Earth tone to her lyrics, she seeks to create songs that reflect her experiences in love, mental illness, loneliness & mourning in order to inspire others with her story in order to give hope & comfort to others who may not have it or cannot seek it out.
